Cleveland/Pittsburgh Trip 2013

May 27-May 30, 2013. I was in the Cleveland/Pittsburgh area to take my son and a couple of his friends to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and to a concert. While in the area, I visited the North Chagrin Reservation in Cleveland, The National Aviary in Pittsburgh and Mt. Washington area to photograph the beautiful skyline of downtown Pittsburgh. Great Trip!

Why this is a favorite of mine...
It was a gorgeous night in a gorgeous city. I brought my son, Dylan and a couple of his friends to Pittsburgh to see the last concert ever by their favorite band. While they were at the show, I drove up to Mt. Washington to photograph the city skyline. I am a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan, so seeing Heinz field was pretty cool. This is a 4 shot photomerge panorama of the Pittsburgh Skyline in the afternoon. I went back after dark and got some killer night time shots too. Pittsburgh is very pretty for a big city and even though I worried (unnecessarily) ahead of time about getting mugged (small town, born and raised), everyone I met was very nice. Shot from Mt. This is the Point of View Sculpture which depicts George Washington and the Seneca leader Guyasuta, with their weapons down, in a face-to-face meeting in October 1770, when the two men met while Washington was in the area examining land for future settlement along the Ohio River. This is located on Mt. Washington overlooking the 3 rivers and the city of Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh, PA
